Pt-cored wire
Furukawa has developed a Pt-cored Ni-Ti superelastic wire that has high contrast even under X-ray images.
By arranging Pt as the core of the Ni-Ti tube, high contrast is achieved without compromising the supple springiness caused by superelasticity. The wire diameter is 0.05 to 1.0 mm, and the area ratio of the Pt core is 10 to 20%.
